Direct your donation to our new bird experience area where the community will meet bird ambassadors to learn more about the species and issues affecting them and how we can help.

We just completed a large addition to our Center thanks to the Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. Your dollars at work when you purchase a personalized license plate in WA. These plates help fund projects like this one! Three large 44’ enclosures for recuperating birds of all sizes. They are 12’ wide and have an indoor/outdoor option with a covered eaves area under the barn roof. Many birds pass through our Center, so this addition will help get birds back to the wild for us all to enjoy!

This is the new expansion area where we are going to add the additional mews for education ambassadors and a stage. Learn more about these wonderful birds; many of whom could not go back to the wild, but have instead adapted to life in captivity and trained to be around people.

For us, the big picture means education of people of all sizes, ages, and backgrounds-whether they are nature lovers or not. We visit lots of venues throughout the year to introduce non-releasable birds impacted by humans and share their stories. Thousands of people interacted with our ambassador birds all over Washington this year.
And because we believe we can change the world together we are building a public area here at our Center for you to visit and encounter birds in a special way. These are birds who have a story to tell. This is coming in 2024! We are almost there thanks to a grant from Partners for Wildlife, (P4W) out of the University of Minnesota.
