Giving Tuesday is a global movement for people to support their favorite non-profits who do amazing work. As a wild bird rehabilitation center we see first hand everyday what our wild birds experience in our ever changing world. Now more then ever birds need your help. Take this northern fulmar for example who was found beached after the king tides and storms drove him from the water. These amazing birds can live up to 40 years and don't mature until they are 6 to 12 years old. They only lay one egg when they mature which means they don't reproduce fast enough to maintain their populations. Because of this seabirds are all in steep declines. At DBWBR we are doing all we can to help our seabird populations.

What are DAFs? A donor-advised fund or DAF is a giving vehicle in the United States that allows donors to deposit funds into a charitable giving account with the flexibility to choose where to donate them at a later time. Think of it as a charitable giving savings account.
DAFs are becoming increasingly popular in the US because donors receive an immediate tax deduction for putting funds into a DAF account. Donors can contribute to their DAF accounts as frequently as they like and then recommend grants to their favorite charities whenever it makes sense for them.
